Bill is a founding director of the clinic and has been providing surgical services to our clients since 1984. He has a wide knowledge of Equine surgery and sports medicine with many years of treating performance horses. His main areas of interest are in joint surgery and reconstructive surgery where he applies knowledge from his regular visits and training overseas.
Dr. Andrew Hunt BVMS, BSc., B.Rur.Sc. (Hons)
Andrew graduated with an Honours degree in Rural Science from the University of New England in 1990 and from Murdoch University with a Veterinary degree in 1996. He joined Morphettville Equine Clinic in 1997 as an associate and became a director in 2007. Andrew has been a member of the Australian Equestrian Team Veterinary Panel since 2000 and was a member of the resident team of veterinarians at the Sydney 2000 Olympics, the Australian Equestrian team for the Beijing Olympics and World Equestrian Games in 2002 and 2006. Andrew and his wife operate and run 'Argyl Stud' and breed mainly show horses along with the occasional performance horse.
Dr. Todd Booth BVSc Cert ES (Orth) MACVSc MRCVS Dipl. ECVS MBA MAICD
Todd graduated from the University of Queensland in 1989 and after 7 years in practice, embarked on a 10 year academic career working in Veterinary schools in Australia and the UK. At Liverpool University he became a specialist in Equine Surgery under the guidance of the great Professor Barrie Edwards. Todd then moved to Edinburgh University where he became Director of the Equine Hospital, before joining the practice in 2006. Todd brings a wide range of specialist services to our clients such as orthopaedics, airway surgery, laparoscopy and advanced abdominal surgery. Todd examines for the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists and is an internationally recognised RCVS, European and Australian recognised Specialist in Equine Surgery.
Dr. Holly Lewis BVSc MACVSc (Equine Med & Surgery) CMAVA
Holly graduated from the University of Sydney in 1998. Following several years working in mixed practice interstate and in the United Kingdom she returned to her hometown of Adelaide.
Holly joined the Morphettville Equine Clinic in June 2008. Holly passed her ACVSc membership examination in Equine Medicine in July 2010 and Equine Surgery in July 2012. Her equine medicine interests include respiratory and gastrointestinal disease.
Dr. Ashley Vermeulen BVSc (Hons) BAppSc (E&SSc) (Hons)
Ashley graduated from the University of Sydney with an honors degree in Exercise and Sports Science and published on Equine Excercise Physiology and exercise testing in Thoroghbred racehorses. After several years working with racehorses throughout Australia and overseas, Ashley returned to study and completed a Veterinary degree at the University of Queensland. Ashley has worked as an Equine Veterinarian in Sydney, predominantly at Randwick, Rosehill and Warwick Farm racecouses.
